This is Dr. Fawn and his family. They have been coming to church for four months now. I have been teaching their seven year old son in Primary. He always tells his father that he can’t wait for Sunday to arrive. When I gave the lesson about being a good example in the family, he said that he loves to help his mother in the kitchen. I then shared my own story of having Chip by my side in the kitchen and now he is a really good cook. At the beginning of teaching them the third lesson, we talked asked them if they wanted to be baptized. They said that they did not get an answer from God. We told them that God may not give them a big manifestation but they will know it by a feeling of peace, comfort, a sweet feeling in their heart and in their mind. We proceeded to give the lesson, and then we bore our testimony. At the end of the lesson, they told us that they would like to get baptized as soon as possible, perhaps on Saturday. We were surprised! We told them that we have another lesson to teach them and then we can make an appointment for their baptism. It is wonderful to feel the spirit when we are teaching the gospel. We hope that you will pray for this special family.

San San Aye is a faithful member in our Yangon Branch. Her husband is blind so she is takes on the responsibility of bringing in money to sustain her family.
She had a debt to pay off from borrowing money.
She chose to cut her beautiful hair and go to buy vegetables with the money she got for her hair which is about $7.00.
Each day as she goes out early in the morning to sell her vegetables she makes a profit of $3.00 to $4.00 profit to feed her family.
In the afternoon, she goes out again to walk throughout her neighborhood to sell flowers.
She is now smiling because she has paid one of her debts.
Now she will work on the other debt.

The Mon family has daughter, Olive, who is the only member of the church.
Sister Olive is serving a mission in Pocatello, Idaho.
Her sisters have been coming to church.
One Sunday after church I asked if they would like to hear the gospel discussions.
They said yes.
We went out to their home in Bago and took 2 prospective missionaries with us to do interpreting.
After the lesson, the mother said that the whole time their daughter took the lessons in 2004, she would always share what she learned.
She told them to listen but they did not.
The mother said she remembers the things her daughter taught and it feels good to hear it again.
